i love the man who fell to earth... i remember seeing posters for it when it came out, i was about 13... i thought he was the coolest thing i'd ever seen...

i didn't actually get to see it until 1981 i think, i'd already decided i was the boy who fell to earth, i had the hair, shaved off my eyebrows... i had it on video and watched it about 3 times a week

i'ts just bowie being bowie, what more could u want?

the hunger is great, bauhaus!!!

labyrnth is cute... i like merry christmas mr lawrence... just a gigolo... erm... gonna have to go look up the rest

but bowie's not much of an actor

I think Bowie is actually a fairly good actor. I think the problem is the fact that it's Bowie so you can't help notice that and just concentrate on the performance.

For me his best performance was as Warhol in Basquiat (which incidently is one of my all-time favourite films), he totally captured Warhols' manner and timing. After that obviously The Man Who Fell To Earth was wonderful, he was totally perfect as Newton. Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence was a great film, and generally he was believable there as well. Labyrinth was lots of fun and he was great there (being wooden was fine for the role!).

I have to embarssingly admit I've yet to see The Hunger although from what I've heard it's a great film and he puts in another good performance. I can't remember Absolute Begginers too well (well, who can or would want to?), nor have I seen Zoolander, Mr. Rice's Secret, The Linguini Incident or Just A Gigilo so can't comment on them.

i saw Labyrinth when i was about 6..thats what started my love for Bowie and older men!
then a little while ago i saw Merry christmas mr lawrence, the man who fell to earth and Basquiat which are all really good movies
all the critics seem to diss his movies which always seems harsh cos hes a good actor

It's amazing how many women I've met who have told me that seeing Bowie in Labyrinth gave them their first stirrings of sexuality. Something to do with the codpiece apparently!
